WHOLE SCHOOL FOCUS
The Whole school focus theme for this year is 'COME HOLY SPIRIT' and the Bible reference that supports our theme is Acts: 15-28
This term at Mother Teresa School we will use the theme: We are called to care.
We will show the value of Courtesy towards those we meet in our class and on the playground by:
- Saying hello to our peers and teachers
- Put up our hand in the classroom and listen to others when they are speaking
- Remember to use our manners by saying please and thank you and look at people when they are speaking to others
- Holding the door open for others and letting them go first
- Showing kindness to others

PROJECT COMPASSION
At Mother Teresa School, we are trying to reach out to others and bring hope to those who are less fortunate than ourselves during this time of Lent by raising money for Project Compassion. We invite all families to contribute by sending in the envelops each Friday. Each class has a Project Compassion box available for the children’s donations. Remember that it is not how much we give, but the compassion that accompanies our giving.
Thank you for your generous contributions. This week we raised $260.00 this money goes toward Leaia in Samoa.
This week, Project Compassion brings us the story of Leaia, who lives

Something to Think About
Think about the last time you were in a church. What sorts of things happened inside the church?
The Story
Jesus went to the temple to find that the area had been turned into a busy marketplace where people were selling animals. Jesus was horrified because the temple was a place to worship God, not a place to make money. He chased all the people and the animals out, turning over the tables and scattering the money everywhere. Jesus wanted to remind people of the real purpose of God’s house.
Peace and best wishes
