The Sports Spectacle

This week was a whirlwind for our MTS athletes! On Tuesday, we had seven students, ages 8 to 12, competing at the ACT Track and Field Carnival at the AIS. Congratulations to Lachlan Rodda for snagging 1st in the 800m, and a shout-out to William Minns for his 5th place in Discus. Dash Meagher and Jameson Evans made their mark in the top 10, while Coby Gleeson and Zoe Le Sambolec showed up strong in the top 16 of their events. Go team!After such a successful Tuesday, Craig Hart, Jo Anlezark, and I were back in action supervising four mixed 5/6 tennis teams in the Wally Masur North Side Tennis Competition. I’m pretty sure we’ve got some future stars for the Australian Open right here at our school! We wrapped up the day with a victory, and the winning team will be receiving their medals once they arrive.
This will be my last Sports article for the term since I'm off to play Masters Hockey in Hobart. Thanks to everyone for your support in our sports endeavors at MTS this term! I can’t wait for Boorowa next term—bring on the fun!
