Sports with Mrs O'Keefe
The Sports Spectacle
Welcome back to Term 4! We’ve kicked off the term with our Wally Masur Tennis stars strutting their stuff at the finals day in Lyneham on Friday. They faced off against the formidable Holy Trinity team. While we didn’t snag the win this time and went down 11-7 sets. I was thrilled to see our MTS students displaying sportsmanship that would make even the most seasoned athletes proud!
Yesterday, an email went out to all parents of students attending the Boorowa Netball and Touch Carnival next Friday. This email included all the juicy details like draws and parking info. If you can’t find it, email me, and I’ll resend it faster than you can say “team spirit!” Team lists will be unveiled to students next week, so let’s rally behind the teams our kids have been allocated to—trust me, a lot of thought went into those lineups!
A huge thank you to the parents who have bravely volunteered to coach and referee! If life has thrown you a curveball and you can’t help anymore, please let me know ASAP. Also, I’m on the lookout for a superhero (or two) to help transport a gazebo. If you can lend a hand, shoot me an email, and we’ll arrange a pick-up and drop-off .
