Principal's Message Term 1 Week 10 2024
Just when we thought we were done with our learning for the term, Week 11 has poked it's head around the corner and lured us all back! We hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend with family and friends to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and possibly devour a few chocolate eggs.
Cross Country Carnival
Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, today's Cross Country Carnival was postponed. The new date for this event will be Thursday May 9th (Week 2 Term 2). We will be praying with Mr Russell for more hospitable conditions on that day!
Indigenous Incursion
On Tuesday ELC to Year 5 were treated to an outstanding presentation by renowned Indigenous performer Ryka Ali. This provided the children with an opportunity to participate in traditional dances, play the didgeridoo and learn more about Indigenous culture and customs. We thank Mrs Amy Slaven for coordinating this spectacular event.
North Gungahlin Swimming Carnival
On Wednesday MTS had 22 students represent us at the North Gungahlin regional swimming carnival. Many of these students achieved great success and as expected their behaviour was exemplary. Thanks to Mr Russell, Mrs Ryan and our parent helper Steph Reed who worked tirelessly on the day.
Cards and Toys
A general reminder that trading cards, such as Pokémon, are not to be brought to school. There is a high likelihood that these will be ruined or lost while at school and therefore are best played with at home.
God Bless,
Craig and Lina

- Treating others equitably.
Confirmation 2024
Please pray for our Year 6 Confirmation Candidates, their teachers, and families as they prepare this important sacrament. Today an import letter has been sent home for parents to complete and return to school as soon as possible. You are requested to fill in your child’s sponsor name and their name in confirmation (Saints name).
All our Confirmation candidates are truly embracing their ministries and getting involved in the Parish Masses. Well done! Don’t forget to bring your item of food for the ‘Food Pantry’.
Second Sunday of Easter
7 April 2024 - Year B
“After eight days Jesus came in and stood among them.”
Something to Think About
Can you think of some things that you believe in, but cannot see?
You cannot ‘see’ the wind, but you know it is there if you watch the leaves moving in the trees.
You cannot ‘see’ love, but you know if somebody loves you by their words and actions. Can you think of any other examples?
The Story
Jesus appeared to his disciples after he had risen from the dead. Jesus showed them the wounds in his hands and side to show them it was really him.
Thomas was not with the others when Jesus appeared that day. He did not believe that Jesus was alive until later, when he saw Jesus for himself.
When Thomas could see and touch the scars of Jesus, he believed.
Jesus said that the people who are really blessed are the ones who believe in him even though they have never seen him.
