Welcome to Mother Teresa School Harrison
Mother Teresa School caters for students from four years of age, where students are enrolled in our ELC, through to year six. We have five ELC classes some of which are part-time. In the primary school we have four classes per year level.
The school boasts modern learning spaces centred around break-out spaces with all sections of the school being connected and weatherproof. This allows for teachers to employ contemporary teaching strategies where students can work individually, or in a variety of group situations. It also provides opportunities for students to work with members of the diverse learning team to strengthen their knowledge and skills.
Mother Teresa School has a strong focus on student mental health and we run many programs to support our students. The school takes an Inquiry approach to learning where the engagement of students in their learning is paramount. There are a myriad of extra-curricular activities including robotics, chess, choir, Tournament of the Minds, Mini-Vinnies, Green Rangers, public speaking, friendship groups and many sporting opportunities. Performing arts is a well-loved subject with every year level involved in a public performance at different times of the year.
Mother Teresa School is located in Holy Spirit Parish which is under the leadership of Fr Troy Bobbin. We are one of four parish schools with the others being Good Shepherd Primary, Amaroo; Holy Spirit School, Nicholls and St John Paul II College, Nicholls.
Mother Teresa School has students from a variety of faith backgrounds and we do accept enquires from any family that supports our ethos. We draw our students from the suburbs of Harrison, Franklin, Throsby and Gungahlin.
