Technology

Technology is an integral component of education at Mother Teresa School. Students engage in the Digital and Design Technologies and ICT capability as per the Australian Curriculum.  Students engage in Digital and Design Technologies and Digital Literacy general capability as per the Australian Curriculum. Digital citizenship, privacy and safety are also vital areas of learning for all students. Technology broadly encompasses digital communication systems, including Chromebooks, laptops, iPads, robotics and associated devices and software. Technology provides different opportunities for collaboration, creativity and independence. 

BYOD

In Years 4, 5 and 6 students engage in our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 bring their home-owned device to and from school each day and use their device to support some of their learning throughout the school day. 

The designated device is a Chromebook laptop or 2 in 1. 

Samsung/Android tablets are not supported.
